IPIDI'HU OF WHY'O CLAN
PERSONALITY ⚘
♔ It takes an hour to appreciate someone ♔
Like sheep, many of his clanmates began to look to him for guidance when things went wrong. They had subconsciously began to rely on the shepherd mix to steer them down a safe path. He even found himself a confidant to many of them, much to his confusion! Yet here he was, giving sound and often surprisingly clever advice that his clan mates found useful.
On the surface, they called him by the name "fish hunter" because he often brought home fish from the river. If his mato'jabi had been properly recognized though, he might have been called after the way he guided his clan mates.
The dog that we see now is a shell of that confident, clever dog who so readily found himself guiding his friends. The dog that we see today is quiet and reserved, hanging back with his head and tail low, peering warily at anyone who comes too close with his single remaining eye. He creeps silently on the outskirts of the pack, trying his best to avoid any attention from those who might bully him. Every great now and again someone will say something that will make Askabi bite his tongue and you see a flash of his old, defiant self in his eyes, yet he's smart enough not to speak his mind.
The dog who before would have never thought to use his teeth on a clan mate would now, out of desperate starvation, bare his teeth and snap at even a pup if he didn't fear the retaliation of the whole pack.
HISTORY ⌛
≡ A day to love them ≡
The pup gained a mentor and grew quickly into an apprentice and then a full-fledged dog with a new name that reflected his rama'jai. He was called Rapha'yona. He became an emotional support for many of his clan mates who looked to him for guidance when they needed a quick decision made. Instinctively he herded them like his own personal flock of sheep. By chance he also became the one that they would go to for advice.
And then everything turned upside down for Rapha'yona. The clan leader died and a new canna stepped forward to take his place. It was his right, he was the general after all. However, Rapha feared for his clan mates under this brutish new chief. He imagined Greyo'miera leading the clan to a violent end. The dog that he saw Greyo as was much too quick to fight and even lash out at his own. He was the kind of dog that would surely break Canna Law and bleed his own pack.
Rapha hatched a plan. He would start his own gang and take those that he trusted the most with him...and he would take some of the precious Sleep Flower seeds with him. He did agree with Ah'mir on one thing. Whoever controlled the Shila'mira controlled the town.
Shortly before he and his friends were set to leave the Ah'mir clan for good, the secret was leaked. Rapha and his conspirators stood before Chief Greyo'miera to receive their punishment - And Rapha was shocked when three of his friends betrayed him and spun a story. They claimed that he had used his brute-force herding tactics to make them leave the clan against their will.
It was Rapha that was punished for them all. He was stripped of his name and demoted to Askabi. Greyo marked him for life with a brutal attack that destroyed one of his eyes, permanently leaving him half-blind. There he remained, an askabi of Ah'mir clan, beaten, bruised, and abused, until the humans came and stole many clan members. He was probably one of the only dogs that was grateful for the human attention in the shelter. For the first time in months, he ate a full meal every day and slept without fear of any random acts of abuse.
He escaped with the rest of the dogs when the earthquake destroyed the shelter, but quickly found himself once more a "member" of the clan when Greyo and several others pulled themselves from the wreckage with him.
In time, he was offered a place in Why'o Clan with a new name - Ipidi'hu. He took the offer and left Ah'mir behind.

He held his head high, spoke his mind when he felt necessary, and was quick to push others to do their jobs or stay out of danger - Quite literally. He had no personal boundaries. He clearly had herding ancestry in his blood. Askabi was quick to shoulder them into place before he ever thought to actually speak what he wanted. Not to say he didn't speak - No, the barking orders and the sharp commentary came after the shove. He was never the sort to resort to using his teeth and strength to get what he wanted though - He wasn't a fighter. He simply felt that he knew best.
