The City Of Kah'ren

"Though the world was raised by human hand, Canna now rules all the land."

Much of the town was left "untaken" after the earthquake, but it is much quieter now. Ferries, streets, and businesses sit dark and isused by the humans that once bustled loudly around. The Canna of the town now make their territories in places that once would have quickly driven them away. And then there are unexplored territories still outside of Kah'ren, places that never existed before. What wonderful, dangerous things lie beyond the severed boundaries of the once busy town? Let's find out together.

**In the future, new gangs claiming, exploring, and dividing territories will potentially expand this map into a detailed world!

The Town

The town of Kah'ren was aleady fairly small, but after the earthquake, it became smaller. The "new" forests bled into it and replaced some of the houses and buildings. Some were split open or cracked in the earthquake. Colorful houses remain dotted throughout the forest. Are these houses part of the town's territory or do they belong to the forest now? That is up for the town's dog packs to work out amongst themselves.

The Ferry

Bordering the town, neatly lined up along the river is a series of docks, buildings, and boats meant for chauffeuring people from one side of the river to the other. Small beaches and food courts also still stand here in this area. One can stand on the wooden docks of the restaurants and peer out over the beautiful river. The delicious smells of food cooking inside the restaurants is nothing more than a memory now, but that view is still incredible!

The Railway

The railyard once had trains traveling in and out at all hours of the day, chugging loudly and shaking the ground almost as hard as the earthquake. Now the trains that are left here are quiet and cold. Empty railcars litter the area, tumbled from their bracings when the world was torn apart. The railway buildings were cracked open not only by the earthquake, but also by the introduction of large trees that weren't there before. An enormous series of rails that once extended over the river are now a bridge and nothing more. As they breech land on the other side, the tracks stop suddenly.

RailWay's Forest

The land beyond the railroad is mostly unexplored, thick oak forest. It is an enticing and frightening territory. Everyone knows that the food scraps within the city will soon run out without any humans to keep making them. If there is any game to be hunted, any food to be found, it will be in the forests that now border Kah'ren. However, strange animals can be heard howling and screeching at night deep within those dark trees. The dogs who consider exploring the territory wonder if it's worth the risk...

River Forest

Across the river from the ferry is another patch of thick wilderness as far as the eye can see. The land slopes into tall, mountanous terrain covered in oak and pine. Just like the Railway's Forest, no one really knows what's over there. Unlike the Railway's Forest, this area has no bridge. If one wanted to explore this land and claim it for their pack, then they would have to figure out how to get the pack across the river...and it might not be easy coming back. Without boats breaking up the ice, however, winter crossing might be possible if the waters freeze over enough to hold the weight of a dog...

Kah'ren's Forest

Kah'ren's Forest is likely a territory that is going to be disputed for generations to come. The gently sloping forest bleeds right into the town. There is basically no border separating the two environments. Deep within the forest where many houses used to sit is a large cemetary. A fresh creek now runs through it that was never there before. Beyond that, there is not a single trace left of the city. What lies beyond is still yet to be explored at all.
