MOSI'RARIMIRI THE CLANLESS
PERSONALITY ⚘
♔ All I ever wanted was the world ♔
With an intense weakness for any and all accessories, she will gladly trade her transportation services for anything that she thinks will enhance her appearance. Whether that be a golden bracelet, collar, or even a simple flower to tuck behind her ear, she'll take these trades in exchange for hunting down and returning lost or needed items- even, occasionally, getting other dogs where they need to go. It's why she earned her canna name: Mosi'rarimiri, "runs to deliver." She refuses to tell others her human-given name, thinking it too embarrassing.
She likes to think of herself as some hardened, street-savvy dog who knows how to put herself first, but truth is she doesn't have the stomach for cruelty. If a healthy and spry dog approaches her for a favor, she is more than happy to exploit them, demanding a guarantee of payment before she even considers offering her help. However, if she encounters someone truly in need, she will lower her price in order to deliver what they need. Instead of a bauble, why not a compliment? She'd chew off her own tail before admitting this soft side, however.
Her vanity means that she adores one feeling over most others: the joy of being wanted. Mosi will turn a demure look or a well-timed compliment on anyone if it means they'll return the favor, and she loves preening under the attention of others. Big, small, male, female, she'll take praise from just about anywhere. But, secretly a romantic, she yearns for more than the flippant and flighty encounters that she's had thus far.
HISTORY ⌛
≡ Can't help that I need it all ≡
She had it all. The best food, a huge yard, walks through the woods bordering her backyard fence. But best of all, she had her accessories. Pretty collars and lovely bows, colorful handkerchiefs and spunky bracelets, Mosi adored getting dressed up above all. She liked the way her fur gleamed after a good brushing, and then way that pretty bits and baubles made her black eyes seem all the darker. She'd liked being a pet, thank you very much, and she wouldn't let any canna make her feel bad for it.
She had free run of the city, so long as she returned home through her doggy door clean and before too late. In her quest to collect and many lovely things as she could, she became something of a trader herself. If someone had something she wanted badly enough, she'd go to the ends of the earth to retrieve whatever it was they desired; whether that be an object, a snack, or something far more rare.
It wasn't long until canna from the clans and streets alike began calling her by her new name: Mosi'rarimi. Runs to deliver.
She adopted this new name in full, preferring it to the embarrassing name from before. She spent half her time wandering from territory to territory and half her time at home being pampered by her humans, feeling as if life were perfect.
But one day her humans had taken her on a walk across town, near the shelter that she so loathed (not for the dogs within, but for the idea of capture itself). Her people had entered the building, intending to adopt another dog, when an earthquake had struck. Suddenly, her leash was slack, and all the humans had disappeared without a trace. She'd barely made it out of the shelter alive, sustaining some minor injuries in her escape.
She mourned, of course. Mourned the humans she'd lost, and the life she'd lost most of all. But there were still beautiful and lovely people and things in the world to be found, and she was determined to collect them all. Sure, she'd be bereft of the soft approving pets of her owners and the free food in her bowl every day, but...
She was more than just a pet to be admired. She could take care of herself, thanks ever so, and she'd sooner give herself over to the snags than roll over and admit defeat.
