Janurary 30th: Periods of snow
It was freezing cold, as to be expected since it was winter. Akoda knew it would stay the same or get worse as winter continued to chill the land and its inhabitants. But despite the coldness, in the Ah'mir clan, one female was warmed by new lives she was carrying. That female was Akoda. Despite the fact that she was carrying the new generation of the Ah'mir clan, she was still able to perform her duties. She was early in her pregnancy from what she could tell. Her nipples became enlarged, and just from that any dog could tell she was expecting puppies. She stuck to hunting small game she could find, which consisted of Fli, Thudu, and Cheks. She didn't go after larger game, not even in groups, as to not harm the growing unborn pups she carried. Ever since she had mated with Damien she looked for sheets, blankets, and any soft material in the city to use as comfort for her to rest on in the shelter of the greenhouse. Added with the plush green moss on the green house, her resting area was very cozy.
She had just returned to the greenhouse with a big fat rabbit in her jaws that she had caught to add to the clan's stockpile. She had to admit that even though it was cold, being inside the greenhouse wasn't as cold as outside. It was much nicer. The pregnant great dane dropped her kill on the prey pile, shook her fur free of snow, and went to her resting place. She lay on her side to rest feeling a bit tired. The resting area was very comfortable, and she was grateful that her resting area would accommodate her as her belly grew in size. She couldn't wait until warmer weather came and prey was flourishing. For now she would have to make do with what could be found in the harsh winter. She put her worries aside for now as she rested lying on her side.
