"Shabi! Shabi come on!" Mufara bossed, toddling excitedly around her sister with a playful smile on her face. The litter of Damien and Akoda - Raised by Tatu, were finally beginning to find their feet. And in Mufara's case...their voice. She still had the high pitched bark of a baby, but her words were becoming clearer and more purposeful every day. Equally, her sense of adventure was also growing. Today she had made an amazing discovery in the forest surrounding their greenhouse. Truly only a few steps away for a bigger dog, but to her it had felt like an enormous undertaking. She'd run back home immediately to get her siblings.
It was Sha'aba that she'd found, and it was Sha'aba that she was now leading back into the forest. It wasn't too hard to get away from the grown-ups these days. They were all so busy. Mufara didn't understand what it meant to "widen the search for lout" or "kidnapped clanmate" or anything like that. She just knew that all the adults had been buzzing around like bees. Quite often they didn't even get back home now until after dark. No, the trip out to the "river" that Mufara had found was quick and easy - No long-legged obstacles stood in her way.
"I found the river." She squealed, shoving her fluffy sister along through the undergrowth with about as much noise as a pair of giant tir'uguru. Mufara and her litter had been told all about the great river and how it had recently grown really big and swallowed up some of the forest. Imagine her excitement when she found it! In truth, it was a shallow, babbling brook a few bounds away from their home...but to a tiny pup that had been alive for two blinks of Ridna's eye, it was the discovery of a lifetime.
