x little starsweeper Rua'ki let out a bored sigh as she followed her mother. With the morning rain having slowed to a low drizzle. The family had made their way out of the safety of the bushes they had been bunking in. Trotting down the muddy hill towards the dock. Covering their paws in a thick layer of mud caused by the earlier rainfall. As she followed the pups eyes wandered for anything to do.
There were no butterflies..no squirrels to chase..Hmm. Ah!
Trotting a few paces from her family. Rua proceeded to launch herself into a nearby mud puddle. While things like that never appleaded to her family. Rua loved it. The feeling of cool mud soaking into her pelt. Even if it was a pain to clean. Was one of lifes joys. While they did side eye Rua’s behavior for a moment. The rest of her family quickly went back to exploring the dock. Used to it by now. She was at the age where it was expected for a pup or kitten to be more independent. And they knew she could find her way back to them just by scent.
With a giggle she continued to roll. Covering her pelt thoroughly as she flopped around in the muddy puddle. Before laying with her belly to the sun and closing her eyes.

Zora'mira. Even though he hadn't seen fresh growth since last fall, Yeli'kah could see the delicate white flowers in his mind's eye as clear as day. The dark furred chihuahua trotted purposefully towards the ferry, knowing full well that the warm sunshine and damp conditions around the river would have finally brought the precious plant to life. Every day counted when it came to finding and gathering fever flowers. They only bloomed properly for a few short blinks of Ridna's eye. Before he knew it, Yeli would once again be scraping through the cooler months on preserved flowers.
However, as the healer neared the docks, his pace slowed. He perked his tall ears, stood up straight, and squinted at the odd sight that was playing out a ways ahead. He couldn't quite make it out...but it appeared that one of his clan had already found their way to the river. From where he stood, it looked a lot like that nuisance who liked to plunder the owi's herb stores and park her stumpy tail in their den waiting for her odd little half-drowned sister to suddenly wake up and be "well." Kanya'grair Shempsar. The pup who never listened, ever.
"Hey!" He barked out gruffly, quickening his step once again. "Where's your mentor, Kanya? What are you doing out here rolling in puddles? Agh! Well, you might as well help me gather some zora'mira for your sister. Gods only know I'd like to see you two move out of...my den?"
Yeli's voice trailed off in clear confusion as he reached the mud-covered stranger and realized that he was not, in fact, shouting orders at Kanya, but at yet another look-alike pup about the same age. Inwardly he groaned. Outside he stared with multi-colored bug eyes. Not another one!

Contrary to the owi's thoughts he had a entirely different beast on his paws. It would be quite the debacle if one had to decide who was more of a troublemaker between the two pups. Though In Rua's defense. It was usually born out of ignorance more than willful defiance.
The familiar comforts of a sun-soaked belly had lulled the pup into a state of serene calm. Bringing back memories of basking in sunbeams alongside her siblings. Cuddled together to soak in more of its heat. That had made her privy to forget the surrounding environment to bask in the warm glow and inviting memories. Her eyes completely shut as she soaked in the now warm mud. Which, while unappetizing to many humans. Left Rua'ki feeling quite content.
That was before a voice broke through her sun-induced haze. Though she didn't recognize much of it. She had picked up some canna from various street dogs. Most of it not very friendly. But this seemed more a bit aggravated (maybe flustered?) than threatening.
"Kanya- puddles- Agh!- you- help- Gods- like- den-" Though this dog didn't seem to pose much of a threat- they where smaller than her mother for gods sake- the pup still sprung up to face them, scrambling out of the puddle and glowering. Now that she was seeing more of them. They where actually rather intriguing looking. But she couldn't focus on the color of a potential threats pelt. Even if she couldn't understand half of what they had said. Some of it made sense to her and she had to run with it. She was lucky her mother had helped her with her shared tongue.
"No! Canna den no! Leave. Not canna home. Yowie here! Us here." Ending the statement with her best imitation of a hiss. She stared back into the dogs eyes with furrowed brows. Trying to look threatening and ending up more pouty. As she waited for Yeli'kahs reaction she gave a small stomp of her paw to really send the message.

Yeli'kah could do nothing but stare wide-eyed at the little oddity, completely taken aback with her exuberant display. What in the world was happening here? Did she have a cough? Why did she sound like a cat hocking up a hairball? Instinctively, the healer wanted to take a step backwards to distance himself from the potential of catching something viral. He managed to fight it though, to stand his ground in the face of...um. Danger. Or whatever was happening here.
Oddly enough, it phased him less that she spoke in a broken tongue. From what he had experienced with the rest of this difficult litter of wayward pups, not being able to speak properly was not unheard of. Rayli also struggled to put together full sentences, likely due to her isolated upbringing. If this truly was another ren from Rith'r Flik's lost litter, then she could easily have experienced a similar fate. The results however left the merle colored chihuahua with a puzzle that he needed to piece together with each fragmented word - A puzzle that would surely soon give him a pounding headache.
"Yowie?" He repeated, tilting his head with a deeply wrinkled brow of his own. Suddenly, the weird little cough sound made a little more sense. Was she pretending to be a cat? Oh, Gods! Ren! "I thought you were a friend of mine." The owi explained slowly, finally taking a step backwards to give the stompy little one the space she needed. He'd have to approach this...weirdness carefully, especially if he wanted to report this back to Li'aba. "Do you have a name? I...am Yeli'kah."
