IPIDI'HU OF THE WHY'O
PERSONALITY ⚘
♔ It takes an hour to appreciate someone ♔
Life has been a punishing teacher, lulling him into a sense of security, and allowing him to foster dreams, goals, and ambitions, only to crush them within a moment's notice. Ipidi'hu is a fast-learning student, and he has vowed to never reach such mental weakness to quiver in fate's punishment again. Although he attributes his misfortunes and tragedies to fate and otherworldly beings, the desire for retribution gnaws at him like insatiable hunger. He is wise enough to know that, at least in the state he is in, he would not be able to restore justice. But he is patiently waiting and biding his time, hiding his weaknesses and laying low so nobody would know what is coming.
To him, every individual is a threat until proven otherwise, and he is vigilant amongst other dogs. The torment and humiliation he has suffered of Askabi has forced him into an astute and intuitive dog to avoid any further abuses or betrayals. The disillusionment and distrust that accumulated from those times has made Ipidi'hu into a self-serving dog, only looking out for his own needs and oblivious to others. Even in conversation he is on the defensive, often coming off as curt and insensitive in his attempts to guard himself.
Ipidi'hu has a hardened heart, but not a stone cold one. He cannot ignore a starving pup, at least for now. He knows he is weak in the aspect of sympathy, and he has a code of conduct and principles he rather die than break.
Ipidi'hu has a strong sense of justice which is founded on his code of ethics.
The few that may earn his respect are righteous, resolute canna.
He finds his new name quite irritating, but tolerates it begrudgingly as the Why'O were generous enough to allow him into their ranks. Still, he is suspicious of their intentions.
Ipidi'hu has yet to discover his rama'jai.
HISTORY ⌛
≡ A day to love them ≡
He was born Randan'hu. Mud fur. His mother was a lone street dog who knew that she needed a clan to protect herself and her ren. Rumors had been circulating about a gang that was growing in numbers and strength. Randan'hu and his mother integrated themselves into the pack, which took them readily into their ranks.
The pup gained a mentor and grew quickly into an apprentice and then a full-fledged dog with a new name that reflected his rama'jai. He was called Rapha'yona. He became an emotional support for many of his clan mates who looked to him for guidance when they needed a quick decision made. Instinctively he herded them like his own personal flock of sheep. By chance he also became the one that they would go to for advice.
And then everything turned upside down for Rapha'yona. The clan leader died and a new canna stepped forward to take his place. It was his right, he was the general after all. However, Rapha feared for his clan mates under this brutish new chief. He imagined Greyo'miera leading the clan to a violent end. The dog that he saw Greyo as was much too quick to fight and even lash out at his own. He was the kind of dog that would surely break Canna Law and bleed his own pack.
Rapha hatched a plan. He would start his own gang and take those that he trusted the most with him...and he would take some of the precious Sleep Flower seeds with him. He did agree with Ah'mir on one thing. Whoever controlled the Shila'mira controlled the town.
Shortly before he and his friends were set to leave the Ah'mir clan for good, the secret was leaked. Rapha and his conspirators stood before Chief Greyo'miera to receive their punishment - And Rapha was shocked when three of his friends betrayed him and spun a story. They claimed that he had used his brute-force herding tactics to make them leave the clan against their will.
It was Rapha that was punished for them all. He was stripped of his name and demoted to Askabi. Greyo marked him for life with a brutal attack that destroyed one of his eyes, permanently leaving him half-blind. There he remained, an askabi of Ah'mir clan, beaten, bruised, and abused, until the humans came and stole many clan members. He was probably one of the only dogs that was grateful for the human attention in the shelter. For the first time in months, he ate a full meal every day and slept without fear of any random acts of abuse.
He escaped with the rest of the dogs when the earthquake destroyed the shelter, but quickly found himself once more a "member" of the clan when Greyo and several others pulled themselves from the wreckage with him.
In time, he was offered a place in Why'o Clan with a new name - Ipidi'hu. He took the offer and left Ah'mir behind.
