The chaos of another pup slamming through the wreckage and acting like a caged bird was not something Castor could spare himself the brain-waves to deal with. There was a pup stuck under there, a small one by the sounds of it too. "My name is Kahru'hu. I-I am almost two moon-cycles old. My mama's name is Aba'flik," large ears caught his whimper. His heartstrings pulled for this poor ren. "Aba'flik! Has anyone seen Aba'flik!" Castor called out, raising his head from the trapped pup to call out to those around him. Surely someone had seen Kahru'hu's mother. The slab of concrete was far too heavy for him to shift alone. He knew that before even heading over to that area. He was not about to leave Kahru in there alone. While he was fine taking orders from the she-dog trapped in the kennel when she wanted him to go find this ren first, now it was time for him to step up to the plate. Two dogs had come close, working together to dig out the first dog he had almost tripped over. It seemed like he was going to be alright, and he could hear their conversation asking what to do next. The big white pup had a voice that could rival Rozo'garuru - the hound was almost worried her booming vocals would bring more of the prison slamming down. "Uru! Rah'ki!" it felt odd calling their names as he had only learned them through eavesdropping, but he needed their attention immediately to get Kahru'hu to safety, "We need to shift this slab. A pup is trapped underneath, and I can not do it alone." His tone was firm and demanding, like that of a chief laying out expectations. He did not know who these canna reported to, but he was hoping they could sense the urgency in the situation and heed his call to action. The sighthound placed dirtied white paws onto the side of the slab, readying himself to push if the pair he called out to would home to his aid. The rubble was precarious, but if they could move it enough for Kahru'hu to squeeze himself through the gap in the top, it would likely not cause any further destruction. @uru Rah'ki Kahru'hu

Uru's sharp ears snapped to attention when an unfamiliar voice called her name. Her short attention span was quickly yanked away from the bedraggled male that she had been so tenderly concerned about seconds before. Blue eyes scanned the dusty horizon for a moment before landing on a figure only a few bounds away, a lanky, tall-eared red and white dog that she was sure that she had seen barking insults just moments before. Poor Hara'mukha was shoved to the back of her mind for the moment as the big doberman pup impulsively scrambled right over to Castor's side at his beck. Before any attempts to help were made, she made sure to give the older dog a pointed glare.
"So long as you don't threaten to bite off my ears again!" She snapped, not realizing in her annoyance that the dog who had shouted after her earlier was a sibling to the one that now stood before her asking for help. "Especially when I'm just trying to help."
And then she moved to mimic Castor's actions, bracing her paws against the slab beside him, ready again to push with all of her strength to free yet another canna from its burial place. Somewhere deep under all of that stone, Uru could hear the pup whimpering pitifully, but try as she might, she could not smell him through the dust that thickened the air. It was as if he were simply a crying spirit floating around in the choking cloud. The entire scenario made her feel very important.
"Come on, Rah'ki!" She barked out. "Hurry up, we've got a job to do here!" And then (just a little) quieter, "And u,canna'ren, don't worry, we'll have you out of there in just a minute. You'll be the second dog we've dug out today!"

Jemma's ears flattened at the female canna's words and whined softly to herself. She didn't want to think of her humans as taking away freedom. She wanted to think of it as them giving her love! A warm place to sleep, lots of food, lots of cuddles. How could that be taking away her freedom?
She didn't say another word, even as the the other dog scolded the ren that had run by earlier, and breathed a sigh of relief when her cage was finally open. Jemma didn't waste any time in exiting her small prison, stretching her muscles and shaking her fur. The older female nosed her shoulder, and Jemma let her. "I'm fine! The bars of the cage shielded me from most of the debris." she yipped.
She didn't complain either about the adultier adult ordering her around. Jemma hadn't agreed to the initial deal, but she also wasn't about to leave a pup buried in rubble. "My name is Jemma, by the way!" she said, keeping her ears pricked to hear better.

Rah'ki's head snapped up at the unfamiliar voice using his name. But then, well over half of these dogs were unfamiliar to him. He called another canna over to help the one he and Uru had dug up to help him outside, taking a moment to duck down and tell him, "It's going to be okay." Then he was up and bounding over, even as Uru was calling him impatiently. "I'm coming, I'm coming! Not all of us have trees for limbs, you know!"
... That was too harsh, wasn't it? He didn't want to offend her. Rah'ki winked to hopefully take the sting out of his words before assuming his position on his stomach, ready to wriggle underneath. "Okay, you two! Pull just enough for me to get under, then I'll push it up!"
Attention going to the ren stuck underneath, Rah'ki gentled his tone to a soothing coo, hoping to calm the pup down. "Hello there, aba'hali. My name is Rah'ki. Can you tell me yours?"

"I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING. BUT I KNOW I'M DOING IT REALLY, REALLY WELL."

| So many voices! Kahru's little broken heart leaped again when he heard his mother's name being called out. He shuffled forward and craned his ears to listen harder, hoping so strongly that his Mama was up there somewhere, trotting over to fix what no one else could while all of Kahru's brothers and sisters played around her feet. But there were so many voices! Some of them were really loud, some of them ran together, and some of them sounded like they were now just over his head. As they tromped overtop of his little prison, small crumbles of dust fell down on his face, making him cough once again.
"My name is Kahru'hu!" He called out again when a gentle voice asked, and then, simply as an act of self-soothing so that he wouldn't start blubbing again, he began to ask questions. "Is my Mama up there, Rahki?" He said. "Are you guys going to get me out? Where am I?"

A sigh of relief shifted the dust settling around them as the pair of strangers he called out to both came over to help. "So long as you don't threaten to bite off my ears again!" the annoyed snap of the pup quickly soured his mood, "Especially when I'm just trying to help." Uru's idiocy was met with an eyeroll that was anything but concealed. "Watch your tongue before someone else bites it, ren," he growled out, unaware of the similarities in his speech to his sister's. His head had been too focused on digging out not one but two canna to filter out which yell was one of pain or annoyance. Castor huffed as he repositioned his paws after the jostling from Uru, looking expectantly towards the final dog needed to rescue Kahru'hu, hopefully.
The older male was much easier to get along with that the blinding youngling. He listened intently to his plan, waiting until Rahki was in position before calling out, "Alright! Three, two, one, move!" He heaved his body against the rubble, the tandem pushes noticeably moving the slab keeping Kahru trapped. Castor was more than ready to wiggle his lithe frame into the crack that was made if Rahki needed more assistance. Kahru was getting out, and he was getting out now. "Kahru, Rahki, try to wiggle out!" he barked again, strain evident in his voice as he continued shoving the stone. He couldn't spare the second to see the gap and whether or not the two canna could escape, but he desperately hoped that he wasn't about to cause the demise of these strangers.
