The imposing brick manor hidden deep in Kah'rens forests is a site to behold. But the canna that live inside it are quite the opposite to their menacing home. An inviting clan of canna, previously owned by a human huntsman. Having been left behind when their owner skipped town. A portion of the huntsman's pack split off and left their old home.

Guided by Eliri'kuruk they seized the abandoned manor for themselves. But were captured by humans not long after settling in. Though after Rozo'ama Akoda they escaped the shelter and managed to make their way back to the manor and to eachother. Now standing as a formidable group amongst Kah'rens clans.

CHARACTERISTICS

Hunting Breeds

The clan's origins as a huntsman pack have not been forgotten. Though not set in stone most of grair'far consists of hounds or hunting breeds due to this. They also tend to attract loners who have a special talent for hunting. Due to the clans similar skill set.

Communal

Generally very tight-knit it is not uncommon for canna to share most everything they have with the clan. Possessions and trinkets swapped readily between canna. Once weaned pups will often be left in the care of pupsitters for extended periods of time.

Climbers

A skill the Grair’far often possess is their ability to climb. You will often see them follow prey up fallen trees or attempt to scale a particularly treacherous incline. Tying into their often adventurous nature.

Adventerous

If there’s a place a Grair’far will almost certainly want to explore it. Curiosity is praised and nurtured and they will often gather excitedly to share new information they have obtained. No place is too far for the canna’s of this clan.

TRADITIONS

Great Howl

A day once a year, usually either in fall or winter. The clan gathers outside their base and howls into the night sky. A long mournful bellow carrying throughout Kah'ren. It is repeated until every dog there is hoarse. It is done to show the numbers and might of the clan to surrounding canna. As well as so that their howls may congeal together and ring loud enough to be carried to the clan’s deceased. It is said that the clans ancestors can be heard howling alongside them on this day.

Bone Carving

Once all that can be eaten is, carcasses will often be left in a small clearing a bit down from their base. When the animal has fully decomposed they will be retrieved and used for a myriad of things. Including painting them with pigments gathered from rocks and flowers or putting them in patterns around their base. This is generally just done for fun.

CLAN BASE

An imposing abandoned two-story brick manor hidden in the deep woods. Towering trees leave few places for sunlight to leak in and a small stream runs nearby but is slightly hard to get to due to the plant-life surrounding it. foliage and vines cover a majority of the exterior and creep into the buildings interior as well. Anything left by the previous human residents has rotted or been destroyed.

Due to the building's age it is often chilly inside with a few room’s being the exception. These are mostly used as sleeping areas with groups of canna huddling together for warmth. The attic is used to survey the surrounding area. while any room’s not used for sleeping or scouting are often treated as gathering or dining areas. The li'canna does not sleep separate from the rest of the clan.
